Cuisinart Convection Oven
Established in 1971, Cuisinart has risen to become one of the leading manufacturers of kitchen appliances in the USA. Their products include, among others, blenders, coffeemakers, food processors, cutlery including electric knives, ice cream makers, countertop cooking appliances, and toaster oven broilers.
For their oven broilers and bread makers, they have both conventional and convection ovens. The latter cooks faster because its fan blows away the thin layer of air surrounding and insulating the food item. Also, since hot air circulates more quickly around the food, convection ovens do not need to be heated as much as their conventional cousins. They can operate by as much as 30°Celsius lower.
A Cuisinart convection oven has two versions, the TOB-195 and TOB-60. Both are countertop models but the TOB-195 features touch pad controls with brushed chrome exterior. A sensor maintains precise temperature while an oven timer automatically shuts the oven after four hours. The oven is great for baking, broiling, and toasting. It can also be used to defrost and reheat foodstuffs. With a capacity of 0.6 cu. ft., it can easily accommodate a 12″ pizza.
The TOB-60 is also great for baking, broiling, and toasting and has the same capacity as the TOB-195. It is made of stainless steel and is equipped with a 30-minute timer.
